A giant duck head regurgitates candy at happy children

Have you ever dreamed of being feed mama - snort trend by a huge automated duck ? Your wild visions are now a realness thanks to students at Georgia Tech ’s Digital World & Image Group .

For their Fall 2010 task , the students built “ Ducks Feed People , ” an oversized mechanized duck’s egg head that chuck candy whenever someone feed the real ducks of Atlanta ’s Piedmont Park . Here ’s howthe educatee line the project :

Ducks Feed People focuses on public Rosa Parks and one distinctive conduct often performed there : visitor feeding duck ( or geese , squirrel , and other beast ) . A typical pleasure of a urban indweller with some connection to whatever nature life story is left in the neck of the woods . It is directed from us humans to the needy fauna .

But what if the eating would be rescind ?

We turned the duck’s egg into food provider for ballpark visitors . To attain that , we built a large artificial duck school principal and test it in Atlanta ’s Piedmont Park . A web cam find the presence and activity of ducks in the pond . This activity , then , triggers , the artificial bird head , which lets sweets rain from its snout – feed the man .

The final product is pretty darn hilarious . It ’s like a scene seemingly out of a family - favorable recutof Zardoz .
