Apparently back in June , Apple filed a letters patent for MagSafe power connection being added to iPads and iPhones . This should n’t mean they ’re confuse out the 30 - pin connecter in lieu of the MagSafe , but I am intrigued by the letters patent diagram showing the MagSafe wharf on the curving back — just the ideal place to charge an iPhone from , unless the aluminum connector head was wind upwards so the contraption could pillow easy on a board , facing up ?
