Park, who plays Mindy Chen, shared the news on her Instagram Story alongside a video of her getting her makeup done on the Netflix hit’s set in Paris, France. Speaking in the brief clip, the star noted: “We’re back!”
“So happy to be back to start filming days with @carolenicolas @parizhair again!” she also wrote, tagging the show’s official Instagram account and adding a purple heart emoji.
Park initiallyposted photosfrom her “first day back to work” on Saturday, noting that she was “takin it slow, steady, and styling [sic] in Mindy’s shoes again.”

Park, however, revealed days later that she had beenhospitalizedand was in the intensive care unit for “critical septic shock.”
“As I sit here processing and recovering from the first few weeks of 2024, the only word I can think of is grateful,” she captioned the post, whichfeatured several photosof her in the hospital withcostar and boyfriendPaul Forman. “While on holiday in December into New Years, what started as tonsillitis spiraled into critical septic shock, which infected and affected several of my organs. I am grateful that my health has improved despite what we had initially been told.”

“You calmed my fears and held me through ambulances, three foreign hospitals, a week in the ICU, scary ERs, countless scans and tests and injections, excruciating pain, and so much confusion all while we were alone on the other side of the world far from those we know,” she added. “I love you Paul. More than I can ever say.”
Per theMayo Clinic, septic shock is a life-threatening medical condition that involves an infection in the body that causes extremely low blood pressure and organ failure due to sepsis.
A source tells PEOPLE that Park was “very sick” but “slowly on the mend.” She then shared days later thatshe was “recovering and resting” in Paris with herEmily in Parisfamily, thanking them and Netflix for “their genuine kindness and gracious patience as I wait to be medically cleared to work.”
“I promise I’m breathing through this all and taking as much care of myself as I can to get back into fighting shape,” she captioned her post, whichincluded a photoof her with costarLily Collins. “In the meantime, thanks for the couch cuddles @lilyjcollins ;)”
