Shipping problemshave become almost comically bad , and even as it appear a few phones have at last made their way into the hands of frustrated customers , a new event has cropped up , turning a bungled launch into a potentially dangerous security vexation .
Over the past 24 hours , some customers have occupy to societal medium to share what reckon suspiciously like phishing emails from the company . Emails that appear to be coming from Essential have demand customers torespond with personal information , including photo ID , key signature , and charge address .
bad yet , the sender seems to have CC’ed the email to multiple receiver , flooding their inboxes with responses containing the personal info of other of the essence client .

electronic mail like this , of course , raise immediate red sword lily as these are the typical elements of a phishing scam . Essential should already have a client ’s billing info and should not need to expect for it again in this manner .
The company has since responded on Twitter , saying that it is aware of the e-mail and is investigating the takings , but queerly it did not tell customers to ignore any suspicious communications .

The issue may havestemmed from a mishandle Google chemical group , which permit some substantive client to con the email address of other customers . However , it ’s also potential that hacker may have gained access to Essential ’s customer database and are using it to seek to con money out of them . Whatever it is , customersaren’t glad , and you ca n’t pick them as many have already been point for a phone they have yet to receive .
