The newest trailer for the follow - up to Snow White and the Huntsman is here . It takes position before the 2012 picture , but it might be most notable because it ’s seems almost on the dot like a live - action interpretation of Disney ’s Frozen .

Seriously ! There are two sisters , this time played by Charlize Theron and Emily Blunt . One has a traumatic experience , realizes she has the power of ice , expire away and builds her own glass castling . She then sings Let it Go and we all cry and barrack — wait , no . Everything except that last bit .

Directed by Cedric Nicolas - Troyan , The Huntsman : Winter ’s War opens April 22 . We really want to chuckle at it but the cast , lead by Theron , Blunt , but also with Chris Hemsworth , Jessica Chastain and Sam Claflin , is really solid . The trailer has a mostly cheesy , phantasy flavour but so did the last film , and audiences seemed to like that one . Maybe this movie will surprise . One thing is for certain , though — we should n’t lowball anything that has even a tangential connection to Frozen .
