Iron Man 2 may be the cinematic debut for Marvel ’s femme fatale spy the Black Widow , but it ’s not the first time she was head for the big screen . X - Men film writer David Hayter explains how Charlize Theron ruin everything .
Latino Review spills the beans , quoting from a Hayter consultation in the book Tales From The Script : 50 Hollywood Screenwriters Share Their Stories :
I had a very solid relationship with Marvel , having work on a number of film with them , and I was search for something to write and verbatim . They brought up Black Widow , and I knew the character very well from the comic book . So I expend about a year work on the handwriting , and I was extremely happy with it … Unfortunately , as I was come up on the last draft , a number of distaff vigilante movies came out . We had Tomb Raider and Kill Bill , which were the ones that worked , but then we had BloodRayne and Ultraviolet and Aeon Flux . Aeon Flux did n’t open well , and three twenty-four hour period after it opened , the studio apartment said , “ We do n’t opine it ’s metre to do this movie . ” I accept their logic in term of the vividness of the market , but it was reasonably painful . I had not only invested a lot of time in that motion-picture show , but I had also named my daughter , who was expect in that fourth dimension period Natasha – after the lead character in Black Widow . I named my girl after a movie that I was n’t working on any longer .
