Kaya ScodelarioandBenjamin Walkerhave decided to go their separate ways.
The formerSkinsstar, 31, and the Tony-nominated actor, 41, separated last year after nearly eight years of marriage, PEOPLE can confirm.
When reached for comment, a rep told PEOPLE: “Some time ago, Kaya and Ben made the joint decision to end their marriage but continue to co-parent lovingly whilst remaining the best of friends. They ask that their privacy as well as that of their children remain respected as they continue to move forward as a family.”

They largely kept their personal life out of the spotlight, but Scodelario last shared a photo of the two together onInstagramin September 2022. In the shot, the pair smiled and posed next to one another while attending a wedding in Tuscany.

After a year-long engagement, the star of the upcoming Netflix seriesThe GentlemenandThe Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Poweractor were married in December 2015. At the time, Scodelario confirmed the wedding on Instagram with a photo of their cake topper, which included a man, woman and French bulldog resembling their pet.
In a 2019 interview withElle UK, the British actress opened up about her engagement. “I never had any family heirlooms … Nothing that was ever passed down to me and so, when I met my husband and we were falling in love, he actually bought me a Cartier Love bracelet, for our first Christmas together,” she shared. “He says that it was then that he realized that he actually wanted to buy me an engagement ring, so he sort of weirdly proposed with a Love bangle.”
