At the premiere of Nicola’s directorial debutLolaon Saturday, the actress and model, 29, reflected on her relationship with husbandBrooklyn Beckham’s younger sister.
When asked about whether her real-life bond with Harper, 12, inspired the sibling bond found in her new film, Nicola told PEOPLE that the preteen “is my dream little sister.”
“If I could create the perfect dream little sister, it’s her,” she added. “I’m so blessed I get to have her as my little sister in my life.”

“I took a lot of inspiration from him, from our relationship,” she said.
“And yeah, I tried to capture the love and the light of these people,” Nicola added. “And obviously, some characters are made up, but I hope when people watch that they feel that.”
While Harper wasn’t at the premiere, Nicola’s husband Brooklyn, 24, and some other Beckham family members were.
On the red carpet, the couple posed for photos withCruzandVictoria Beckham, and Nicola praised her mother-in-law for designing her premiere outfit — a custom corset and trouser set from Victoria’s synonymous brand.
“She is a genius,” the actress told PEOPLE of the fashion designer, 49. “I am so honored to be able to wear this tonight. I feel so business, but sexy, and she’s a genius.”

Later in December, the pairshared another cute moment together, dancing to Coi Leray’s “TWINNEM” in a TikTok together.
In the adorable “twinning” video, the sisters-in-law jump around in matching pink outfits and put on makeup while lip-syncing to the track together.
