‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Star Kornbread Shows Off 150 Lbs. Weight Loss While Celebrating 1 Year Cancer Free

Kornbread “The Snack” Jeté has a lot to be thankful for this holiday season.

TheRuPaul’s Drag Raceseason 14 contestant celebrated being one-year cancer-free and a 150 lb. weight loss in anInstagram poston Wednesday.

“Feels so great being able to be here a year later and I have so much to be thankful for! This past year has been INSANE! But I’m so happy to have made it out,” Kornbread explained in her post that featured her before-and-after photos.

Apart from having a physical transformation, the reality television star shared that she’s feeling healthier and received plenty of praise in the comment section.

Kornbread revealed in September 2022 that she had beendiagnosed with adenocarcinomain her small intestine. The Cleveland Clinic describes adenocarcinoma on itswebsiteas a type of cancer that develops in the glands that line the organs and can spread throughout different parts of the body.

While symptoms can vary depending on the area of the body that is affected, the medical center advises that its treatment can include surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation therapy. Kornbread urged her followers to get routine checkups while announcing her diagnosis onInstagram.

“I say this to let everyone know that no matter how young you are PLEASE GET REGULAR check ups. I’m glad I caught mine at this stage. A lot of health things will be changing for me and I’m grateful for all the support. Ready to get back to the stage again,” she wrote.

“I’ve done so much in such a short time and that’s the reason I’ve kept my head up! Competed on Drag race, became Miss Congeniality, shared the stage and screen with such idols and even got to do ads and commercials. Cancer tried to scare me, but these are the reasons IM THRIVING,” her tweet read.
