Rozonda “Chilli” Thomasis officially a grandma!
“On this day March 2nd, 2024 at 1:59pm 6.173 LBS/2.8kg an angel from heaven was born our beautiful daughter LUA婁娥) we are officially parents !!” the proud new father began his caption.
Sharing that his daughter came early, Austin noted that Wang had to have an emergency cesarean section.
“I am so beyond proud of her bravery and courage to do this so off guard we literally expected 3 more days but God always has his plan first ! Eternally grateful to say we have officially started our family!”
“This is a dream come true we started dating on September 22,2018 fast forward almost 6 years later we are married with our first child life’s journey has now truly begun!!! 👨👩👧✨❤️,” Austin concluded.

The musician praised his wife, expressing his pride and gratitude for her sacrifices after multiple medical procedures on their fertility journey, including two HSG procedures — an X-ray used to view the inside of the uterus and fallopian tubes, one egg retrieval, and one hysteroscopy that included the “removal of both tubes and scar tissue’s from hernia & appendicitis surgeries.” He also revealed that the two experienced a miscarriage.
Austin spoke about his hopes as a father when chatting with PEOPLE in April about Paramount+ seriesFamily Legacy, where he talked about what it was like to grow up on the road with iconic R&B/hip-hop groupTLC.
“We see the backstage, we see the costumes coming off of microphones and I don’t think that people get to see that part, that we really appreciate our parents a lot for doing what they do and putting themselves on the line like that,” he said.
“It’s a very hard job and you can’t be there all the time, even when you have kids, you have to keep going in this direction. As an aspiring father, I think of how I want to do similar with my kids,” he said at the time.
“I want to make sure I’m there as much as possible, but that they also understand that daddy needs to do what daddy needs to do, and it doesn’t change the love between us.”
